Alpkit Foundation Grants for Adventurous Activity Training

Whoop! Great news… thanks to the good people at the Alpkit Foundation, the Alpkit Youth in Adventure Fund has been set up.  This is a new Grant Programme to equip 50 Scout Network members with skills that will allow them to lead adventurous activities in Scouting for other young people.

The fund can support members in the following ways:  

  • To support individual Young People (18-25) to undertake activity training courses. These courses should be helping them gain experience in order to gain an adventurous activity permit authorising them to lead activities for members of Scouting or to train others to do so.
  • To support individual Young People (18-25) to purchase equipment enabling them to undertake such activity training courses.

There are up to 50 grants available this year! : Maximum grants to be £50 or 50% of the total course costs and £50 or 50% of the total equipment costs (whichever is the lower amount). One application per individual per year. Where equipment required is available from Alpkit; the grant will be given in the form of discounts for purchases. Transport, accommodation, and other associated costs for training courses will not be funded.
